What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Technology Fee to Sunoco, which is currently $330 per month but may increase to $600. This fee covers several technology-related services and resources.

Specifically, the Technology Fee provides franchisees with access to the back-office system necessary for managing their business operations. It also includes software licenses required to operate the Aplus store, as well as access to a helpdesk support website for technical assistance. The fee further covers e-mail setup and hosting for one e-mail address.

Additionally, the Technology Fee covers other technology that may be required in the future. Aplus (Sunoco) may allow franchisees to use existing systems and licenses if they meet the company's specifications and are in good working order, and in such cases, Aplus reserves the right to reduce the monthly fee. However, Aplus retains the right to change system requirements or providers with a minimum of thirty days' notice, and may increase the monthly fee to reflect any additional expenses incurred due to these changes.
