What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aplus retains the right to review and revoke its approval of any items, services, or suppliers at any time. Aplus can do so by simply notifying the franchisee and/or the supplier.
This provision means that an Aplus franchisee must promptly stop using, selling, or providing any items or services that Aplus has disapproved. The franchisee bears the expense of complying with these changes. This clause gives Aplus significant control over the products and services offered at the franchised locations and the vendors used.
This ability to change approved items and suppliers allows Aplus to maintain brand consistency and quality control across all franchise locations. However, it also introduces a risk for franchisees, who may need to adapt quickly to changes in suppliers or products and bear the associated costs. Franchisees should factor in the potential for such changes when evaluating the profitability and operational requirements of an Aplus franchise.
