What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire is used to identify any unauthorized, untrue, inaccurate, or misleading statements or promises made to prospective franchisees. This questionnaire is designed to ensure that all information received by the franchisee aligns with what Aplus has officially authorized and disclosed.
Specifically, the questionnaire asks potential franchisees whether any employee or representative of Aplus has made statements or promises that contradict or differ from the information provided in the disclosure document. This includes statements about the potential success of the Aplus store, or about the advertising, marketing, training, support services, or assistance that Aplus will provide.
If a prospective franchisee answers "yes" to any of these questions, they are required to provide a full explanation. This process allows Aplus to address any discrepancies and ensure that franchisees are making informed decisions based on accurate information. For Maryland residents, any representations requiring a release, estoppel, or waiver of liability do not act as a release under the Maryland Franchise Registration and Disclosure Law.
