What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, you cannot relocate your Aplus store without first obtaining written consent from Aplus. If Aplus approves the relocation, you must complete the relocation and commence operations at the new location within six months of receiving notice from Aplus.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with the relocation. This includes reimbursing Aplus for any expenses they incur in preparing standard engineering and architectural plans, as well as site evaluations.
This requirement ensures that Aplus maintains control over the location of its franchise stores, which is a common practice in franchising. This control helps Aplus protect its brand image and ensure that stores are located in areas that are suitable for the business. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these relocation terms and factor in potential relocation costs when evaluating the Aplus franchise opportunity.
