What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a technology fee to Sunoco. The technology fee is currently $330 per month. However, Aplus may increase this fee up to a maximum of $600 per month.
The technology fee covers several technology-related services. These include access to the back-office system, software licenses, helpdesk support website, email setup, and email hosting for one email address. It also covers other technology that may be required in the future.
It is important to note that Aplus (Sunoco) reserves the right to change the system requirements or providers with a minimum of thirty days' notice. If such changes occur, Aplus reserves the right to increase the monthly technology fee to reflect any additional expenses incurred due to the system or provider change. This implies that while the fee can be increased to $600, it could potentially fluctuate based on changes implemented by Aplus.
