You are not required to operate your APLUS franchise along with a gasoline fueling station. If you choose to pair with a fueling station, you may convert it to dispense Sunoco fuel, but it is not a requirement. Qualified operators who sell motor fuels brands other than Sunoco are eligible to operate an APLUS Store.

According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is not mandatory to operate an Aplus franchise in conjunction with a gasoline fueling station. The FDD states that franchisees may purchase an Aplus convenience store franchise with or without a fueling station.
If a franchisee chooses to operate a fueling station, they have the option to convert it to a Sunoco fueling station, but this is not a requirement. The FDD specifies that qualified operators who sell motor fuels brands other than Sunoco are still eligible to operate an Aplus store. This provides flexibility for franchisees to choose whether or not to include a fueling station as part of their Aplus franchise.
