What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you operate more than two Aplus stores, you are obligated to be present at the locations for no less than 40 hours per week combined, at such times Aplus may designate. Additionally, you must have at least one employee employed full time at each location who has successfully completed the Aplus initial training program to Aplus's satisfaction.
As a multi-unit Aplus franchisee, you must ensure that at least one full-time employee at each Aplus store has completed the required training to Aplus's satisfaction and is on duty for at least 40 hours per week. This employee can be the trained manager. If a trained manager is no longer employed by you, you have four months to replace them. Replacement managers must attend and successfully complete the initial training program to Aplus's satisfaction.
The initial training program is provided for your Designated Manager and up to two other people at least 5 weeks prior to commencing operations. You must ensure that those managing or employed at the Aplus Store know how to operate the store in a safe and proper manner, which includes, but is not limited to, having an employee present at your Aplus Store during all operating hours who has the ability to communicate with the public in the English language.
