What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire is designed to identify any unauthorized, untrue, inaccurate, or misleading statements or promises made to prospective franchisees. The questionnaire is part of the process of entering into a Franchise Agreement with Aplus.
The questionnaire asks potential Aplus franchisees to confirm whether any employee or person speaking on behalf of Aplus made statements or promises that contradict or differ from the information provided in the disclosure document. This includes statements about potential revenues, profits, the likelihood of success, advertising, marketing, training, support services, or assistance. Franchisees are required to answer these questions truthfully, as Aplus will rely on their responses.
However, the document states that prospective franchisees in Maryland should not complete the questionnaire or respond to any of the questions. Additionally, for franchisees in Illinois and Wisconsin, certain state laws may supersede provisions in the Franchise Agreement, Development Agreement, or related contracts, particularly regarding waivers of compliance with state franchise laws or reliance on representations made by Aplus.
