What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are expressly prohibited from selling "bath salts" in any form or under any name. The FDD lists several examples of products that are considered "bath salts" and are therefore prohibited. These include Bliss Blue Light, Blue Silk, Charge, Cosmic Blast, Disco Concentrate Bath Salts, Ivory Snow, Ocean Burst, Pure Ivory, Purple Wave, Snow Leopard, Stardust, and Tranquility Bath Salts. The list continues with White Dove, White Knight, White Rush, Zeus 2, Ivory Wave, and White Lightening.
This prohibition is in place to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as to maintain the favorable public image of the Aplus brand. The sale of prohibited items such as bath salts can lead to criminal and civil charges, as well as potential termination of the Franchise Agreement. Aplus retains the right to designate additional prohibited products from time to time.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review the list of prohibited items and ensure that they do not offer any of these products for sale in their Aplus store. It is also important to stay informed of any updates or changes to the list of prohibited items, as Aplus may modify it as needed. Compliance with these restrictions is essential for maintaining a successful and compliant Aplus franchise.
