What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Equipment and Construction Funding Agreement is not mandatory. Note 2 in Item 6 of the FDD states that this agreement, which is included as Attachment 7 to the Franchise Agreement, is an optional program for franchisees.

This means that franchisees are not required to participate in the Equipment and Construction Funding Agreement. This agreement allows Aplus to spend up to $150,000 on the franchisee's behalf for required equipment and construction of the Aplus store.

Since the program is optional, prospective franchisees should evaluate their own financial situation and construction expertise to determine whether utilizing this program would be beneficial for their Aplus franchise. Franchisees may prefer to manage equipment and construction independently.
