Initial Training Program
We provide an initial training program for your Designated Manager and up to two other people at least 5 weeks prior to you commencing operations. You must attend and complete to our satisfaction our initial training program before beginning operation of your APLUS Store. (Section 8.1. of the Franchise Agreement)
The training program is comprised of both classroom and hands-on learning. The training is conducted primarily at "Sunoco University" located at one of our affiliate's offices outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 3805 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
Mallory Raleigh is the Director of Training and Sunoco University. She has over five years' experience in the industry and has been with us since 2018.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must attend and complete the initial training program to the franchisor's satisfaction before beginning operation of their Aplus store. The initial training program is provided for the Designated Manager and up to two other people at least 5 weeks prior to commencing operations.
The Designated Manager must attend and successfully complete training before the Aplus store can open. Aplus reserves the right to vary the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of any individual attending the initial training program.
Aplus does not charge a fee for the initial training program for the first three participants. However, the franchisee is responsible for the related incurred costs for hotel, travel, and wages for themselves and their attendees.
