What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Antioch Pizza Shop FDD, if the commissary kitchen does not have the necessary equipment and supplies for preparing Antioch Pizza Shop menu items, the franchisee is responsible for installing those items at their own expense. The commissary must be a commercial kitchen approved by Antioch Pizza Shop that meets all state and local health department requirements. However, if the franchisee owns an Antioch Pizza Shop restaurant franchise, they can use the restaurant's kitchen as their commissary.

This requirement ensures that all Antioch Pizza Shop food trucks can properly prepare menu items to the franchisor's standards, regardless of the existing facilities at the commissary. This could involve purchasing specific ovens, refrigeration units, or other specialized equipment needed for Antioch Pizza Shop's recipes.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to assess the equipment already available in their chosen commissary and factor in the potential costs of purchasing and installing any additional required items. This could significantly impact the initial investment needed to start the franchise, depending on the state of the commissary they select. It would be prudent to discuss commissary options and equipment requirements with Antioch Pizza Shop during the due diligence process.
