You are not granted any options, rights of first refusal or similar rights to acquire additional franchises within the Development Area or Protected Area. You may apply for the right to open additional Restaurants pursuant to separate franchise agreements, but we have no obligation to allow you to open additional Restaurants, except as provided in an Area Development Agreement. The Franchise Agreement grants you no options, rights of first refusal or similar rights to acquire additional franchises.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may apply for the right to open additional restaurants through separate franchise agreements. However, Angry Chickz is under no obligation to approve these requests unless an Area Development Agreement is in place.

An Area Development Agreement grants the franchisee the right to develop and operate two or more Dine-In Restaurants within a specified Development Area, subject to Angry Chickz's approval. The Development Area is defined in an exhibit to the Area Development Agreement and can include one or more cities, counties, states, or another defined area.

It's important to note that franchisees do not receive an exclusive territory and may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other competitive brands. Furthermore, Angry Chickz retains significant Reserved Rights, including the right to develop, own, and franchise restaurants outside the Development Area, operate businesses under different names, and establish restaurants at Non-Traditional Venues, regardless of their proximity to the franchisee's locations. After the Area Development Agreement expires, Angry Chickz can operate or franchise additional restaurants anywhere, including within the former Development Area, subject to any territorial rights in the individual Franchise Agreements.
