Who is responsible for maintaining the Angry Chickz Information Systems and keeping it in good repair?

Neither we nor any of our affiliates have an obligation to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades or updates to the system. You will be responsible for obtaining support and/or optional maintenance contracts from third parties for your computer maintenance and repair needs. You are also responsible for all updates and upgrades. You must maintain your Information Systems and keep it in good repair. There is no contractual limit on our ability to require you to update or upgrade the systems, add components to the system and replace components of the system.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for maintaining the Information Systems and keeping them in good repair. Angry Chickz does not have an obligation to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the system. The franchisee must obtain support and/or optional maintenance contracts from third parties for their computer maintenance and repair needs and is responsible for all updates and upgrades.
The initial cost for the Information Systems is estimated to be between $20,000 and $30,000. The franchisee must acquire and incur the costs of obtaining and implementing the hardware, software, and other components and devices comprising the Information Systems, including any additions, upgrades, updates, and modifications, as well as all support services, service and maintenance agreements, and subscriptions prescribed by Angry Chickz from time to time.
Angry Chickz retains the right to access the franchisee's Information Systems and stored files and data, and to add, remove, configure, and modify the systems, with or without notice. The franchisee must also electronically link the Information Systems to Angry Chickz or its designee and provide all assistance required to bring the Information Systems online. There is no contractual limit on Angry Chickz's right to require updates or upgrades to the systems.
