What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, neither Angry Chickz nor its affiliates are required to contribute any amount to the Brand Fund. Even if Angry Chickz or its affiliates begin contributing to the Brand Fund, they are not obligated to continue contributing or maintain any specific contribution rate.
This policy means that Angry Chickz franchisees cannot rely on the franchisor to financially support the Brand Fund. The Brand Fund is primarily supported by franchisee contributions, specifically a Brand Fee of 2% of the franchisee's gross sales. Angry Chickz retains significant discretion over the Brand Fund's management, including determining the advertising's cost, media, content, timing, and allocation.
Angry Chickz also has the authority to employ individuals or agencies, including those owned by Angry Chickz or its affiliates, to provide services for the Brand Fund and compensate themselves or their affiliates for expenses related to the Brand Fund's operation. This arrangement gives Angry Chickz considerable control over the Brand Fund's resources and direction, which may or may not directly benefit individual franchisees. Franchisees are generally required to participate in advertising and marketing programs instituted by Angry Chickz through the Brand Fund, with additional advertising costs borne solely by the franchisee.
