What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, the territorial rights granted to a franchisee do not include exclusive rights to any specific customer. This means that while Angry Chickz will not authorize another physical dine-in restaurant within the franchisee's protected area (with exceptions for non-traditional venues), the franchisee does not have exclusive rights to serve any particular customer.
Angry Chickz, its employees, affiliates, representatives, franchisees, licensees, and agents are not restricted from accepting orders, including catering orders, from individuals within or outside the protected area through online food ordering platforms and other systems. They can also fulfill these orders to customers located within the franchisee's protected area. This allows Angry Chickz to leverage various channels to reach customers, regardless of their location relative to a specific franchise.
This policy enables Angry Chickz to maximize its market reach through online ordering, catering, and other distribution methods, which may increase brand visibility and overall sales. However, it also means that an Angry Chickz franchisee may face competition from other channels managed by the franchisor or other franchisees, even within their protected area. A prospective franchisee should consider this when evaluating the potential market and revenue for their location.
