" includes the operation of an independent business, product line or operating system owned or licensed by an entity other than Company that is featured or incorporated with the Franchised Business and operated in a manner which is likely to cause the public to perceive it to be related to the Franchised Business.
- 7.9 Intranet. Company may, at its option, establish and maintain an Intranet through which licensees or franchisees may communicate with each other, and Company may disseminate the Manual(s), updates and other confidential information. Company shall have discretion and sole control over all aspects of the Intranet, including its content and functionality. If Company establishes such an Intranet, Franchisee shall acquire, maintain, and update, as reasonably necessary, all computer hardware and software necessary to enable Franchisee to participate on the Intranet. Company will have no obligation to maintain the Intranet, and may discontinue it at any time without liability. If established and if Franchisee is in compliance with its obligations under this Agreement, Franchisee will be given the privilege to use the Intranet subject to Franchisee's compliance with Company's then-current standards of use and usage agreement. Franchisee further acknowledges that the Intranet facility and all communications that are posted to it will become Company's property, free of any claims of privacy or privilege that Franchisee or any other person may assert. At Company's request, Franchisee shall contribute a reasonable amount toward the cost of the Intranet's maintenance, as imposed from time to time by Company. Such contribution shall be established by Company annually and shall be payable within 30 days of demand.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Angry Chickz has the option to establish and maintain an Intranet. If Angry Chickz chooses to establish an Intranet, it will have discretion and sole control over all aspects, including content and functionality.
If Angry Chickz establishes an Intranet, franchisees must acquire, maintain, and update all necessary computer hardware and software to participate. However, Angry Chickz is under no obligation to maintain the Intranet and can discontinue it at any time without liability.
If an Angry Chickz franchisee is in compliance with their obligations under the Franchise Agreement, they will be granted the privilege to use the Intranet, subject to compliance with Angry Chickz's standards of use and usage agreement. All communications posted on the Intranet become the property of Angry Chickz, without any claims of privacy or privilege from the franchisee. Angry Chickz may also request that franchisees contribute a reasonable amount towards the cost of the Intranet's maintenance, which will be established annually by Angry Chickz and payable within 30 days of demand.
