If you are not an individual, you must designate an "Operating Principal" acceptable to us who will be principally responsible for communicating with us about business, operational and other ongoing matters concerning your Restaurant. The Operating Principal must have the authority and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of your Restaurant, but is not required to own an interest in you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchisee is not an individual, they must designate an Operating Principal. This Operating Principal is responsible for communicating with Angry Chickz about the business and its operations. While the Operating Principal has the authority and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Angry Chickz restaurant, they are not required to own an interest in the franchisee entity.
This arrangement provides flexibility for franchisees who may want to hire a manager to oversee daily operations without giving them ownership in the business. However, the Operating Principal must be acceptable to Angry Chickz and meet certain criteria, including completing the initial training program and devoting their full time and best efforts to the restaurant's operation.
It's important to note that anyone owning 20% or greater interest in the franchisee entity must sign a Continuing Guaranty, assuming all obligations under the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, the franchisee's spouse must sign a document making them liable for all financial obligations, even without ownership. This could put marital and personal assets at risk if the franchise fails.
