Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • 6.1.3 Although Company may voluntarily (without obligation) assist Developer in locating an acceptable site for a Dine-In Restaurant, neither Company's said assistance, if any, nor its acceptance of any proposed site, whether initially proposed by Developer or by Company, shall be construed to insure or guarantee the profitable or successful operation of the Restaurant at that site by Developer, and Company hereby expressly disclaims any responsibility therefor.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Angry Chickz is not obligated to assist a Developer in finding a location for a Dine-In Restaurant. While Angry Chickz may voluntarily offer assistance, it is not a requirement. The FDD states that the Developer has the sole responsibility for finding suitable sites.

Even if Angry Chickz provides assistance or approves a site, this does not guarantee the restaurant's profitability or success. Angry Chickz explicitly disclaims any responsibility for the financial outcomes of the location. This means that the Developer bears the full risk of selecting a site that may not perform well.

After Angry Chickz accepts a proposed site, the Developer must then negotiate a lease or purchase agreement for the site and submit a copy of the proposed agreement to Angry Chickz. This highlights the importance of the Developer conducting thorough due diligence and market research before proposing a site, as the final responsibility for the site selection and its financial performance rests solely with the Developer.
