What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchised business is damaged or destroyed, the franchisee must start repairs or reconstruction within 60 days of the event. Following the start of repairs, the franchisee must diligently pursue the work until completion.
The maximum timeframe allowed for completing all repairs and reconstruction is six months from the date of the event that caused the damage or destruction. This requirement ensures that the Angry Chickz location is brought back into operation as quickly as reasonably possible.
However, Angry Chickz has the right to require the franchisee to repair or reconstruct the premises and franchised business to meet the standards for new restaurants if the damage is significant enough. This clause protects the brand's image and standards, ensuring consistency across all locations, even after significant damage.
