What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, an Angry Chickz franchise offers franchisees the opportunity to renew their franchise agreement for two successive periods of five years each. This means that after the initial franchise term, a franchisee in good standing has the potential to extend their business operations under the Angry Chickz brand for an additional ten years, provided they meet certain conditions.

To be eligible for renewal, the franchisee must meet several requirements. These include paying a successor agreement fee, complying with all obligations under the existing Franchise Agreement, providing notice of intent to renew within a specified timeframe (9 to 12 months before the expiration of the current term), and executing a new franchise agreement. It's important to note that the new franchise agreement may contain terms and conditions that are materially different from the original contract, which could impact the franchisee's operational and financial obligations.

Additionally, franchisees must have completed any required remodeling, renovation, and refurbishment of their Angry Chickz restaurant, unless such remodeling has been done within the preceding five years. They must also sign a general release, not have committed three or more material defaults during the 36-month period before renewal, and ensure that they and their employees meet the then-current qualification, training, and certification requirements. Meeting these conditions is crucial for an Angry Chickz franchisee to secure their renewal and continue operating their franchise.
