If Angry Chickz establishes an Intranet, can franchisees be required to contribute to its maintenance costs?

If Company establishes such an Intranet, Franchisee shall acquire, maintain, and update, as reasonably necessary, all computer hardware and software necessary to enable Franchisee to participate on the Intranet.
Company will have no obligation to maintain the Intranet, and may discontinue it at any time without liability.
If established and if Franchisee is in compliance with its obligations under this Agreement, Franchisee will be given the privilege to use the Intranet subject to Franchisee's compliance with Company's then-current standards of use and usage agreement.
Franchisee further acknowledges that the Intranet facility and all communications that are posted to it will become Company's property, free of any claims of privacy or privilege that Franchisee or any other person may assert.
At Company's request, Franchisee shall contribute a reasonable amount toward the cost of the Intranet's maintenance, as imposed from time to time by Company.
Such contribution shall be established by Company annually and shall be payable within 30 days of demand.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Angry Chickz establishes an Intranet, franchisees may be required to contribute to its maintenance costs. Angry Chickz may establish and maintain an Intranet for communication between licensees or franchisees and to disseminate manuals, updates, and confidential information. Angry Chickz has sole control over all aspects of the Intranet, including its content and functionality.
If Angry Chickz establishes an Intranet, franchisees must acquire, maintain, and update all necessary computer hardware and software to participate. Angry Chickz is not obligated to maintain the Intranet and may discontinue it at any time without liability. Franchisees who are in compliance with their obligations under the Franchise Agreement will be given the privilege to use the Intranet, subject to their compliance with Angry Chickz's standards of use and usage agreement.
Franchisees acknowledge that the Intranet facility and all communications posted to it become Angry Chickz's property, free of any claims of privacy or privilege. Angry Chickz can request that franchisees contribute a reasonable amount toward the cost of the Intranet's maintenance, as imposed from time to time by Angry Chickz. This contribution will be established annually by Angry Chickz and is payable within 30 days of demand.
