Must the Angry Chickz franchisee or Operating Principal successfully complete the training program?
Angry_Chickz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you are an individual, you must directly supervise the franchise business on its premises. If you are not an individual, you must designate an "Operating Principal" acceptable to us who will be principally responsible for communicating with us about business, operational and other ongoing matters concerning your Restaurant. The Operating Principal must have the authority and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of your Restaurant, but is not required to own an interest in you.
You (or your Operating Principal) must successfully complete our training program and you must have a Restaurant Leader and adequate staff of employees who have in our judgment, been fully and adequately trained. Your Operating Principal, if applicable, must (a) devote his or her full time and best efforts solely to the operation of your Restaurant; (b) meet our educational, experience, financial and other reasonable criteria for the position, as contained in the Manuals or otherwise in writing; (c) have successfully completed the Initial Training Program; (d) be accepted by us.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are an individual franchisee, you must directly supervise the franchise business. If the franchisee is not an individual, they must designate an Operating Principal who is acceptable to Angry Chickz. Whether the franchisee is an individual or not, they (or their Operating Principal) must successfully complete the Angry Chickz training program. The franchisee must also have a Restaurant Leader and adequate staff who have been fully and adequately trained, in Angry Chickz's judgment.
The Operating Principal must devote their full time and best efforts solely to the operation of the Angry Chickz Restaurant. They must also meet Angry Chickz's educational, experience, financial, and other reasonable criteria for the position, as outlined in the manuals or in writing. Furthermore, the Operating Principal must have successfully completed the Initial Training Program and be accepted by Angry Chickz. The Initial Training Program is approximately 15 days for all attendees.
Moreover, the franchisee may not open and operate the Franchised Business until the Operating Principal and the initial Restaurant Leader have completed the Initial Training Program to Angry Chickz's reasonable satisfaction. If the agreement relates to the franchisee's third or subsequent Restaurant, the Trainer must train the manager in accordance with the manuals. The franchisee must also successfully train a number of employees reasonably necessary to operate the Franchised Business in accordance with the manuals. Failure to show competency in pre-training material may result in being prohibited from attending a scheduled Initial Training Program and require attendance at a subsequent Initial Training Program, costing an additional initial training fee of $5,000.00.
