Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee acknowledges and agrees that the territorial rights provided in this Section 2.3, do not provide Franchisee with exclusive rights with respect to any particular customer or potential customer, nor do they restrict Company or any of its employees, Affiliates, representatives, franchisees, licensees, assigns, agents and others from accepting orders (including catering orders) from persons within or outside the Protected Area through online food ordering platforms and other systems and delivering or fulfilling such orders to customers or others located within the Protected Area.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to accept orders through online food ordering platforms, even if the customer is within the franchisee's protected area. Specifically, Angry Chickz retains the right to accept orders from any location through online platforms and fulfill those orders regardless of the customer's location. This means that while a franchisee may have a protected area, Angry Chickz itself, or its affiliates, can still accept orders from customers within that area through online systems.

This reservation of rights does not grant franchisees exclusive rights to any particular customer or potential customer. Angry Chickz, its employees, affiliates, representatives, franchisees, licensees, assigns, and agents are not restricted from accepting orders, including catering orders, from individuals both inside and outside the franchisee's protected area via online food ordering platforms. They can also deliver or fulfill these orders to customers located within the protected area.

This policy has significant implications for prospective Angry Chickz franchisees. While franchisees are granted a protected area, this protection does not extend to online orders. Angry Chickz retains the right to compete with its own franchisees within their protected areas through online sales. Franchisees should be aware that their exclusive rights are limited to physical, dine-in customers and do not encompass the online market, which could impact their potential revenue and market share.
