What must an Angry Chickz developer do with any 'Developments' related to a Restaurant?

- 8.3 Certain Developments.
All ideas, concepts, techniques, or materials relating to a Restaurant ("Developments"), whether or not protectable intellectual property and whether created by or for Developer or its Owners, employees or contractors, must be promptly disclosed to Company and will be deemed to be Company's sole and exclusive property.
Developer assigns ownership of that item, and all related rights to that item, to Company.
The Company will sign and cause its Owners, employees and contractors to sign whatever assignment or other documents Company requests to evidence Company's ownership and to help Company obtain intellectual property rights in the item.
Developer may not use any Developments in operating a Restaurant or otherwise without Company's prior written approval.
Developer waives all moral rights in the Developments and will cause all of its Owners, employees and contractors to waive all moral rights in the Developments.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, any ideas, concepts, techniques, or materials related to a Restaurant, referred to as "Developments", whether or not they can be protected as intellectual property, must be promptly disclosed to Angry Chickz. This includes Developments created by or for the developer, their owners, employees, or contractors. These Developments are deemed the sole and exclusive property of Angry Chickz.
The Angry Chickz developer must assign ownership of the Development and all related rights to Angry Chickz. Additionally, the developer must ensure that they, their owners, employees, and contractors sign any documents Angry Chickz requests to evidence its ownership and to help secure intellectual property rights in the Development.
The document explicitly states that the developer cannot use any Developments in operating a Restaurant or in any other way without Angry Chickz's prior written approval. Furthermore, the developer waives all moral rights in the Developments and must ensure that their owners, employees, and contractors also waive all moral rights. This means that Angry Chickz has complete control over any new ideas or improvements related to the restaurant concept, and the developer cannot use or claim ownership of them without permission.
