How does Angry Chickz determine the location of each Restaurant under the Franchise Agreement?
Angry_Chickz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We will determine or accept the location of each Restaurant under the Franchise Agreement at the time each Franchise Agreement is signed, and our then-current standards for accepting sites and determining Protected Areas (defined below) will apply. You will not receive an exclusive territory. You may face competition from other franchisees, from outlets that we own, or from other channels of distribution or competitive brands that we control.
If you have not selected a particular site for your Restaurant when you sign the Franchise Agreement, we will designate a general geographic area specifying the area within which you may seek a location for your Restaurant.
You will be permitted to operate your Dine-In Restaurant at a specific Venue that we accept, as described in your Franchise Agreement. You will be granted a Protected Area around your Restaurant (the "Protected Area"). We will assign your Protected Area when you sign your Franchise Agreement and identify your location. Typically, your Protected Area will be a 3 Mile radius around your Restaurant. In densely populated areas (e.g., downtown areas or urban areas with high day-time populations), your Protected Area may be smaller or may be limited to the location of your Restaurant, or a geographic area described in your Franchise Agreement. Factors that we consider in determining the size of your Protected Area include among others, the demographics, population size, neighboring and adjacent retail tenants, visibility, and proximity to other businesses.
You may not relocate your Restaurant without our prior written consent. Our consent may be granted, conditioned or withheld in our discretion and is subject to the payment of our costs and payment of the relocation fee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, the location of each restaurant is determined when the Franchise Agreement is signed. Angry Chickz's then-current standards for accepting sites and determining Protected Areas will apply. If a franchisee has not selected a location when signing the Franchise Agreement, Angry Chickz will designate a general geographic area where the franchisee can seek a location. The franchisee will be permitted to operate at a specific venue that Angry Chickz accepts.
Angry Chickz grants a Protected Area around the restaurant, typically a 3-mile radius, assigned when the Franchise Agreement is signed and the location is identified. However, in densely populated areas, the Protected Area may be smaller or limited to the restaurant's location or a geographic area described in the Franchise Agreement. Factors considered when determining the size of the Protected Area include demographics, population size, neighboring retail tenants, visibility, and proximity to other businesses.
It is important to note that Angry Chickz franchisees do not receive an exclusive territory and may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, other distribution channels, or competitive brands controlled by Angry Chickz. The franchisee cannot relocate their Restaurant without Angry Chickz's prior written consent, which may be granted, conditioned, or withheld at their discretion and is subject to the payment of costs and a relocation fee.
