Who bears the expense of remodeling or refurbishing the premises for an Angry Chickz Successor Term?

According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with remodeling or refurbishing the franchised business. Specifically, as a condition of exercising the Successor Agreement Right, Angry Chickz may require the franchisee to refurbish, remodel, and improve the Franchised Business to conform to the then-current Standards for new Restaurants, and this is to be done at the franchisee's sole cost and expense.

This obligation can occur not more frequently than once every five years during the term. The remodeling may include structural changes, as well as replacement or modification of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE), décor, and trade dress, or any other changes that Angry Chickz directs.
