What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Training Program is approximately 15 days for all attendees. This program is designed for the Operating Principal, Restaurant Leader, and Trainer, with the aim of equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate an Angry Chickz restaurant according to the brand's standards.
The Initial Training Program is conducted at Angry Chickz's training facilities in California or other approved locations specified by the company. The training may include a mix of classroom instruction, on-site training at company or franchisee facilities, remote training, and self-study. This comprehensive approach ensures that franchisees and their key personnel receive thorough preparation before opening their franchised business.
Notably, franchisees are responsible for covering training fees and travel expenses for any additional personnel beyond the initial four included in the franchise agreement. Furthermore, the Operating Principal and Restaurant Leader must complete the training between 30 and 90 days before the restaurant's scheduled opening. This timeline ensures that the management team is well-prepared without being too far removed from the training when the restaurant opens.
Angry Chickz may also require individuals to demonstrate competency in pre-training materials before attending the Initial Training Program. Failure to do so could result in the person being prohibited from attending the scheduled training and requiring them to attend a subsequent program, incurring an additional $5,000 fee. This highlights the importance of thorough preparation and commitment to the training process to avoid additional costs and delays.
