What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Angry Chickz Franchise Disclosure Document, neither Angry Chickz nor its affiliates are required to spend any amounts on marketing. However, Angry Chickz has established a Brand Fund where locations contribute a Brand Fee.

Angry Chickz directs all uses of the Brand Fund and controls the creative concepts, materials, media used, media placement and allocation. Expenditures from the Brand Fund may include creative development, production, and placement of various advertising materials, media placement, market research, development of promotional items, website maintenance, and retention of advertising agencies. Media placement may be national, regional, or local, including social media and public relations campaigns.

Although Angry Chickz intends for the Brand Fund to be perpetual, it can be terminated once all the money in the fund has been spent for advertising and promotional purposes. During the last fiscal year, the monies contributed to the Brand Fund were spent as follows: 60% for social media, 15% for administrative expenses, and 25% for other marketing (digital, PR, guest feedback software).

Prospective franchisees should note that Angry Chickz is not obligated to ensure that any particular franchisee benefits directly or proportionately from advertising funded by the Brand Fund. Additionally, franchisees are typically required to spend approximately $15,000 on a Market Introduction Program surrounding the opening of each of their locations.
