Is Angry Chickz or its affiliates obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the Information Systems?

Neither we nor any of our affiliates have an obligation to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades or updates to the system. You will be responsible for obtaining support and/or optional maintenance contracts from third parties for your computer maintenance and repair needs. You are also responsible for all updates and upgrades. You must maintain your Information Systems and keep it in good repair. There is no contractual limit on our ability to require you to update or upgrade the systems, add components to the system and replace components of the system. Except as described above, we cannot estimate the cost of maintaining, updating or upgrading your Information Systems or its components because it will depend on your repair history, local costs of computer maintenance services in your area and technological advances which we cannot predict at this time

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, neither Angry Chickz nor its affiliates are obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the Information Systems. The franchisee is responsible for obtaining support and/or optional maintenance contracts from third parties for their computer maintenance and repair needs, as well as all updates and upgrades. Franchisees must maintain their Information Systems and keep them in good repair.
The FDD states that there is no contractual limit on Angry Chickz's ability to require franchisees to update or upgrade the systems, add components, and replace components. The franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with obtaining and implementing the hardware, software, and other components of the Information Systems, including additions, upgrades, updates, and modifications, as well as all support services, service and maintenance agreements, and subscriptions prescribed by Angry Chickz from time to time.
The FDD also mentions that Angry Chickz cannot reasonably estimate the future costs of the Information Systems, required hardware, software, or service or support. The cost of maintaining, updating, or upgrading the Information Systems will depend on the franchisee's repair history, local costs of computer maintenance services, and technological advances.
