What actions must an Angry Chickz franchisee take to assist in protecting the trademarks?

there are no agreements currently in effect that limit our rights to use or license the above-mentioned marks in any manner.
While we are not required to defend you against a claim against your use of our trademark. You must notify us immediately when you learn about an infringement of or challenge to your use of our trademarks. We will take the action we think appropriate, if any. We will have sole discretion to take the action we deem appropriate and will have the right to control exclusively any litigation or U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceeding arising out of any infringement, challenge or claim relating to any principal trademark. You must sign all documents, render assistance and do all things that our counsel deems necessary to protect our interests in any litigation or U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceeding or otherwise to protect our interests in the principal trademarks.
You must follow our rules when you use these principal trademarks.

According to Angry Chickz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees play a crucial role in protecting the brand's trademarks. While Angry Chickz is not obligated to defend franchisees against claims regarding trademark use, franchisees must immediately inform Angry Chickz upon discovering any infringement or challenges to the trademarks.
Angry Chickz retains the sole discretion to take any action it deems necessary to address such infringements or challenges, including controlling any related litigation or proceedings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Franchisees are obligated to cooperate fully in these efforts.
Specifically, franchisees must sign all documents, provide assistance, and perform all actions deemed necessary by Angry Chickz's counsel to protect the brand's interests in any litigation, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceeding, or other actions aimed at safeguarding the principal trademarks. Franchisees also cannot contest Angry Chickz's rights to their trademarks, trade secrets, or business techniques.
