What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a prospective franchisee may request an equipment waiver to reduce their initial franchise fee if they already possess supplies equal to those included in the initial franchise fee. This option is available regardless of where the franchisee sources their supplies. However, to qualify for the waiver, the franchisee's existing supplies must meet Anago's standards and specifications, and are subject to approval by Anago.
This waiver can potentially lower the initial investment for a new Anago franchisee, especially for individuals already possessing some of the required cleaning equipment. However, the franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring their equipment meets Anago's standards. This may involve providing samples or documentation to Anago for approval.
It is important to note that Anago retains the right to deny the waiver if the franchisee's supplies do not meet their standards. Therefore, franchisees should carefully review Anago's specifications before purchasing any new equipment or requesting a waiver based on existing equipment. Franchisees should also confirm which specific items are covered by the equipment waiver, as the specific supplies included in the initial fee vary depending on the franchise program selected (Programs I through X+).
