What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Software Support Fee covers technical support for the software, updates and fixes approved by Anago, and installation of approved updates and general computer bulletins. However, the document specifies that all network and hardware support are billable at the programmer's current hourly rate if the Subfranchisor uses their services.
This means that while the Software Support Fee covers the core software-related services, it does not include costs associated with network or hardware support. If a Subfranchisor requires network or hardware assistance, they will incur additional charges based on the programmer's hourly rate. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors often provide basic support within a standard fee but charge separately for more specialized or extensive services.
Prospective Anago franchisees should be aware of this distinction and factor in potential network and hardware support costs when budgeting for their franchise. It would be prudent to inquire about the typical hourly rate for network and hardware support and the frequency with which such support is needed to accurately estimate these potential expenses. Additionally, the Software Support fee is subject to change with a 30-day notice.
