You shall be responsible for the payment of your travel, lodging, personal, compensation for attendees, and other expenses incurred in connection with this training. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, satisfactory completion of the training course is required before opening for business. The FDD states that a franchisee "shall be required to satisfactorily complete the course prior to opening for business". Furthermore, a manager may be required to complete the course before assuming managerial duties.

This requirement ensures that all Anago franchisees and their managers possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate the business according to Anago's standards. The initial training program is mandatory for all new Master Franchise owners and must be completed within 90 days of signing the Subfranchise Rights Agreement. The training program lasts for two weeks but may be shorter if the franchisee has prior experience in the janitorial business.

The training covers various aspects of the business, including unit sales and solicitation, unit orientation, management, contract sales (including marketing, prospecting, telemarketing, bidding, and contracting for customer contracts), invoicing and statement processing, administration, and Anago business operations. If a franchisee fails to complete the initial training to Anago's satisfaction, Anago may elect to retrain them or terminate the Subfranchise Rights Agreement and retain the initial fee.

Prospective franchisees should consider the time commitment and potential costs associated with the training, including travel, lodging, and personal expenses, as these are the franchisee's responsibility. However, Anago does not charge tuition for the training. The FDD also mentions that franchisees must commence operation of the Anago Subfranchise Rights Business within 30 days of completing the initial training program, and in any event, within 180 days of signing the Subfranchise Rights Agreement.
