What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Anago has the right to examine a franchisee's records. Specifically, Anago and its representatives have the right to examine and copy a franchisee's records at all reasonable times and at Anago's expense. Anago also has the right to have an independent audit made of the franchisee's records at any time.
This means that as an Anago franchisee, you must maintain accurate records for the operations of your Anago Unit Franchise, segregated from other business and personal records. These records must be preserved for at least 10 years, even after the franchise agreement terminates or expires. Anago's ability to audit your records ensures compliance with the franchise agreement and helps maintain the integrity of the Anago system.
Furthermore, as a Subfranchisor, you must give Anago full and unimpeded 24-hour access, 365 days per year, to your records, including those retained or recorded on any electronic or computer system. Anago will have access to electronic reporting through a modem or Internet connection installed within your computer and will be supplied with hard copies of data upon request. Any supplementary hardware or software costs will be borne by you, the Subfranchisor. This level of access allows Anago to monitor the Subfranchisor's operations closely and ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
