What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Anago is not restricted from engaging in any activities, including opening company units, franchising to others, or using any method of distribution, at their discretion, anywhere in the world. The document states that Anago may operate and franchise units or engage in any other method of distribution whenever, however, and wherever they determine, including within an Anago franchisee's designated area.

This means that while a franchisee is granted the right to operate an Anago Unit Franchise within a specific area, this area is not exclusive. Anago retains the right to operate or franchise other units, or use alternative distribution methods, even within the franchisee's territory. This lack of territorial exclusivity is a common arrangement in franchising, allowing the franchisor flexibility in market development.

For a prospective Anago franchisee, this implies a risk of direct competition from the franchisor or other franchisees within their operating area. It is important to understand that success will depend on their own efforts and customer service, as Anago does not guarantee a protected market. Franchisees should carefully consider this aspect and evaluate the potential for competition when making their investment decision.
