What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a subfranchisor is authorized to participate in franchise trade shows, the subfranchisor is responsible for all associated expenses. However, the subfranchisor must first obtain Anago's prior written consent before participating in any franchise trade shows, whether within or outside of their designated area. This consent can be granted or withheld at Anago's sole discretion.
This means that while Anago subfranchisors have the option to participate in trade shows to promote their franchise, they must bear the full financial burden of this activity. This includes costs related to booth setup, travel, promotional materials, and any other expenses incurred during the trade show.
Prospective subfranchisors should consider these potential costs when evaluating their marketing and advertising strategies. It is important to factor in the expenses associated with trade shows and to carefully assess the potential return on investment before seeking Anago's approval to participate. Subfranchisors should also be aware that Anago can withdraw approval for any promotional or advertising material, requiring the subfranchisor to discontinue its use within 30 days.
