What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Anago is not required to provide any assistance or service before a subfranchisee begins operation of their Anago Subfranchise Rights Business, beyond what is outlined in the FDD. However, Anago does provide pre-opening support to subfranchisees. This includes initial training for one person for up to two weeks, which may take place at one of Anago's offices or another mutually agreed-upon location. Anago also loans a copy of the Anago Manuals, including the Unit Franchise Operating Manual, which the subfranchisee is required to use and provide to their unit franchisees. These manuals cannot be altered by the subfranchisee or their unit franchisees.

Anago provides assistance in preparing advertising brochures, compiling lists of local suppliers and prospective clients, and setting up local newspaper advertising for unit franchisees. Specifications for the computer system and custom NBDS formats are also provided. Anago may also offer informal advice and instruction in the day-to-day operations of the Anago Subfranchise Rights Business, although they are not obligated to do so. Anago will supply a current franchise disclosure document (Subfranchisor - Single Unit) to be modified by the subfranchisee and their franchise attorney, including the information required to be included regarding Subfranchisors by applicable federal and state regulations, including the FTC Franchise Rule.

The typical length of time between signing the Subfranchise Rights Agreement (or first payment) and opening the Anago Subfranchise Rights Business ranges from 1 to 3 months. Factors affecting this timeframe include completing the Anago Training Program, securing office space, and registering the franchise disclosure document, if necessary. The subfranchisee must commence operation within 30 days of completing the initial training program, and in any event, within 180 days of signing the Subfranchise Rights Agreement. The initial training program is mandatory and must be completed within 90 days after signing the Subfranchise Rights Agreement, lasting for a period of 2 weeks, but may be decreased if the subfranchisee owns an existing janitorial business, or if they have worked in the janitorial franchise business for a period of more than one year.
