What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, subfranchisees are required to use designated internet vendors for website creation and maintenance, as well as email and web hosting. This requirement is in place to maintain uniform and high standards within the Anago system and enhance its goodwill and market acceptance.
This means that as an Anago subfranchisee, you will not have the freedom to choose your own website developer or hosting provider. You must use the vendors that Anago has specifically approved or designated. This restriction ensures that all subfranchise websites meet Anago's standards for appearance, functionality, and brand consistency. While this limits your autonomy, it also provides the benefit of using vendors that Anago has vetted and trusts.
Anago retains the right to modify the system at any time, which includes changing the required vendors or specifications for website services. These changes will be communicated in the manuals or in writing. While the FDD does not specify the costs associated with using Anago's designated internet vendors, it is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these ongoing expenses when evaluating the overall investment.
If a subfranchisee wishes to use an alternative vendor, they must seek approval from Anago. Anago has the right to inspect the supplier's facilities and products as a condition of approval. Anago will notify the subfranchisee in writing within 30 days of the approval or disapproval of the supplier.
