What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Subfranchisors are required to screen franchise candidates. Specifically, when recruiting prospective franchisees, the Subfranchisor must screen candidates based on Anago's standards. The Subfranchisor is expected to make every effort to find candidates within their area who meet Anago's qualifications for operating a unit franchise.

This means that Anago places the responsibility of initial candidate vetting on the Subfranchisor. The Subfranchisor acts as the first line of assessment, ensuring that potential franchisees meet the basic criteria set by Anago before their applications are processed further. This process helps maintain the quality and consistency of Anago franchisees across different locations.

The Subfranchisor is also responsible for obtaining completed franchisee applications and delivering Anago's Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) to candidates, in accordance with applicable laws. Additionally, Subfranchisors must promptly refer any inquiries they receive about establishing a franchise outside of their designated area directly to Anago. This ensures that all franchise-related activities are properly managed and aligned with Anago's overall strategy.
