What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the inclusion of the Acknowledgement of Receipt serves to confirm that the prospective franchisee has received and reviewed the FDD and its exhibits. Specifically, the FDD mentions that Exhibit I is the Acknowledgment of Receipt.
The FDD also states that the franchisee acknowledges receiving the FDD, including all exhibits and supplements, for the state where the Anago Unit Franchise will be located and their state of residence. This receipt must occur on or before the first personal meeting with Anago representatives and at least 14 calendar days before signing the agreement or making any payments.
This acknowledgement is a standard legal practice in franchising, designed to protect both the franchisor and franchisee by documenting that the franchisee had access to all relevant information before entering into the franchise agreement. It helps ensure transparency and informed decision-making, reducing the potential for future disputes over disclosure issues.
