What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Anago does provide specifications for the computer system and custom NBDS formats to its subfranchisees. Specifically, Anago will provide specifications for the computer system, along with the custom NBDS formats, as part of the pre-opening assistance and support offered to new subfranchisees.
In addition to providing the specifications, Anago requires subfranchisees to use a designated computer hardware and software system, including Anago's proprietary software, for their business operations. The minimum hardware and software requirements include workstations with specific processor, RAM, and operating system specifications, Microsoft Office 2019 or newer, a certain amount of hard drive space, high-speed internet, specified iPad Pro models with Apple Pencil for sales representatives and brand managers, and an all-in-one color printer with high-volume scanning capability. Subfranchisees must also use Anago's computerized NBDS management systems.
Prospective franchisees should note that they are responsible for the costs associated with purchasing the computer system, which range from $15,000 to $25,000. Furthermore, Anago may require reasonable upgrades and updates to the computer system at the subfranchisee's expense. While compatible hardware components may exist, the software must be sourced and supported through Anago, as they are currently the only approved supplier for the NBDS System.
