What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Anago's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to advertise their cleaning and janitorial services independently for non-Anago clients. However, they are specifically prohibited from using, referring to, or incorporating the Anago Proprietary Marks or System, or referencing their position as an Anago franchisee in any such advertising.

This restriction ensures that the Anago brand and system are exclusively associated with services provided under the Anago franchise. It prevents potential confusion among customers who might otherwise believe that independently advertised services are endorsed or provided by Anago itself.

This policy is fairly standard in franchising, as franchisors typically want to maintain strict control over their brand and prevent franchisees from leveraging the brand's reputation for outside ventures. Franchisees need to be aware of this limitation and ensure their independent advertising is clearly distinct from their Anago franchise operations. Any violation of this policy could potentially lead to a breach of the franchise agreement.
