What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Amorino's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may need to pay a $3,500 extension fee under specific circumstances related to site selection. If a franchisee fails to secure an approved location within the initial 90-day period after the Franchise Agreement's effective date, they must pay Amorino a $3,500 fee to extend the site selection period by an additional 180 days, for a total of 270 days from the agreement's effective date. Failure to pay this fee on time could result in the termination of the agreement by Amorino.
However, the 2025 FDD states that Amorino will refund the $3,500 extension fee if the franchisee successfully opens their Amorino franchise within the extended 270-day timeframe. This provides an incentive for franchisees to diligently pursue site selection and open their business promptly.
It's important to note that this refund is contingent upon opening the franchise within the specified timeframe. If the franchisee requires even more time beyond the initial 270 days, they may request a further extension, but this requires an additional $6,500 fee and is subject to Amorino's approval based on the franchisee's demonstrated efforts in finding a location. This additional $6,500 fee is not mentioned as being refundable.
