What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amorino's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a transfer fee when transferring their franchise. The amount of the transfer fee is specified in the Data Sheet. In addition to this fee, the franchisee must also reimburse Amorino for reasonable costs and expenses incurred during the transfer. These costs include legal fees and the expenses associated with conducting background checks on the transferee and their Principals.

This means that when a franchisee decides to sell their Amorino franchise, they will incur costs beyond the transfer fee itself. These additional costs cover Amorino's expenses in reviewing and approving the transfer, ensuring the new franchisee meets their standards, and updating legal documentation. The franchisee is responsible for these costs even if the transfer is not ultimately completed.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review the Data Sheet in the FDD to understand the specific transfer fee amount. They should also budget for potential legal and administrative costs associated with the transfer process. It would be prudent to discuss with Amorino what typical costs and expenses have been for past franchise transfers to get a better estimate of these additional fees.
