What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amorino's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase, install, and maintain an approved electronic point of sale (POS) system. Currently, the only approved system is the Square POS system. Franchisees are required to use this system as both a cash register and a daily sales reporting tool. Amorino retains the right to independently access all information recorded by the POS system and may require franchisees to update or replace the system as needed, without any contractual limitations on frequency or cost.

The initial investment for the POS system, computer system, software, and hardware ranges from approximately $1,200 to $2,500. In addition to this initial cost, franchisees must pay ongoing fees for the use of the point of sale software and credit card merchant services provided by Square. These fees currently amount to 2.6% plus $0.04 per transaction for all credit and debit card payments, along with a system fee of up to $30 per month.

Notably, the FDD states that there are no annual costs for optional or required maintenance, updates, upgrades, or support contracts related to the point of sale or computer systems. However, Amorino may require franchisees to update or replace the POS system at its discretion, which could incur additional costs. Prospective franchisees should factor in these potential future expenses when evaluating the overall investment required to operate an Amorino franchise.
