What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amorino's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a prospective franchisee must supply information on the lease terms or purchase price for the proposed site. This is in addition to completing a "Project Proposal" Form and "Key Elements" File, and providing a description of the location. The description should be in a format specified by Amorino and include any other information Amorino may reasonably require to evaluate the location. This includes demographic characteristics, traffic patterns, parking, character of the neighborhood, and information on other area businesses.

Furthermore, the franchisee must inform Amorino of any time periods within which the lessor of the proposed location requires a response, comments on, and/or acceptance of the lease. Amorino agrees not to unreasonably delay its review and approval or disapproval of the proposed site and lease terms. Approval of locations is at Amorino's sole discretion.

This requirement ensures that Amorino has sufficient information to assess the suitability of the proposed location and lease terms before the franchisee commits to a lease. This is a common practice in franchising, as the location's success is crucial to the overall performance of the franchise. By requiring this information, Amorino aims to protect its brand and the investment of its franchisees by ensuring that locations meet certain criteria and that lease terms are reasonable.
