What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Amorino's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, CPUSA LLC began selling franchises and master franchises for Amorino branded stores in August 2021. This marks the start of their franchising efforts within the United States. Prior to this, another entity, Minus Zero4, offered Amorino franchises starting in December 2012, but stopped in early 2019. CPUSA LLC is now responsible for issuing Amorino franchises in the United States.
It's important to note that the Amorino concept was initially founded in 2002 in Paris, France, by Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi through CPF, SAS. CPF began franchising in 2006, also in Paris. This indicates that while Amorino has a longer history of franchising internationally, its franchising activities in the U.S. through CPUSA LLC are relatively recent, beginning in August 2021.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that Amorino is a relatively new franchise system in the U.S. under the current franchisor, CPUSA LLC. While the brand has international experience, the U.S. market may present different challenges and opportunities. It would be prudent for potential franchisees to investigate the performance and support provided by CPUSA LLC since August 2021, as well as the remaining nine franchise agreements that were assigned from Minus Zero4 to CPUSA LLC on July 1, 2024.
