What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 AmeriSpec Inspection Services FDD, the initial training program includes 10 hours of computer training. This training is part of the AmeriSpec Academy, which is held at the Franchisor Training Center in Memphis, TN.
In addition to the computer training, the AmeriSpec Academy includes management training covering risk management (3 hours), marketing (5 hours), administration/operations (10 hours), financial management (4 hours), and sales/management (4 hours). The academy also provides technical training in areas such as roofing, electrical systems, structure, heating systems, AC/heat pumps, exterior, plumbing, appliances, fireplaces/chimneys, interiors, insulation/ventilation, contracts and industry standards, and report writing.
Prior to attending the AmeriSpec Academy, franchisees must complete approximately 40 hours of self-study using the Study Guide and Workbook for the Online Self-Study Course. After the academy, franchisees and inspectors are required to complete three to four practice inspections and submit inspection reports for evaluation by the Technical Department. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip franchisees with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate their AmeriSpec Inspection Services business effectively.
