What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific section of the operations manual that details the function of the operating system is not explicitly mentioned. However, Item 23 discusses the software and computer systems franchisees are required to use.
Amerispec Inspection Services requires franchisees to use a software system, including business contact management and inspection software, along with any other communication or data storage systems, hardware components, and associated services that the company has developed or selected for the System of Operation. This is referred to as the "Computer System." The Computer System must be compatible with the company's systems, connected via high-speed internet, and kept updated according to the Operations Manual.
The FDD mentions two specific software systems: the AmeriSpec Management System (AMS) and the AmeriSpec Inspection Software (AIS). The AMS is an online business management tool, while the AIS is used for collecting data during home inspections and generating reports. The company provides Level 1 support for the AIS and assists vendors with bug fixes. Franchisees may need to sign license agreements for both the AMS and AIS, and new software releases may come at an additional cost.
To fully understand the operating system requirements and functionality, a prospective Amerispec Inspection Services franchisee should ask the franchisor for detailed information about the Computer System, including the specific operating system requirements, compatibility, updates, and any related training materials or documentation.
